ENG.Today I want to introduce you to Angelica Castillo Balanta, better known as the super fashion blogger Miss Balanta! She is from Cali like me and now lives in Panama. When I saw her personal style I was totally in love! She has exactly what Juana likes: a great personality, a well defined personal style and such a wonderful internal beauty that she can’t help but showing. As she says it herself: “I started to collect street fashion in Barcelona and in a few months I learned how to live fashion from the street, I became a fearless blogger ready to experiment in each of my posts. Missbalanta.com has become my personal brand and with my blog I try to transmit the importance of creating your own identity. And I always express it with this phrase: You don’t have to be a fashionista to have style! For me it is more important to create, transform, and evolve to create your own style than to follow the latest trends.” I hope this interview transmits to all of you a bit of the spirit of this beautiful woman and I hope you remain as impressed as Juana was with her!

What inspired you?
I could tell you a lot of things, but the folklore and the energy of my mom Mrs. Doris Balanta is what really inspires me. It is not a casual inspiration, it’s something that has been constructed since I have a sense of reason. And due to everything that she represents for me, my blog is called Miss Balanta.
Fashion is?
Is something you can grab in your hands and make it your own no matter what they are selling to you. Fashion is everywhere, it is versatile and even though repetition is part of it, the creativities of the industry transform it again in trends and fashion.

For me it is Alexander McQueen even if he is dead he really immortalized his legacy. His successor Sarah Burton has been able to interpret his genial way of seeing fashion.

I will never get tired of saying this, it is more important to build your own style than to follow the latest fashion trends. Things that you should always take in consideration:
Accept your own body, so you will buy the right clothing
Never forget who you are: this will give you more security when you want to experiment with new types of clothing.
The most important: accept your budget and learn how to buy in an intelligent manner.
Your ideal lifestyle would be?The truth is that I love my lifestyle! I am actually living what I always wanted. I dreamt to live near the sea and now I don’t only live near it but when I wake up I see it from my bed and this is the best experience ever. I like exploring new places to live, I work in what I like and I have a stable and beautiful relationship. So what else can I ask from life?

Cuando vi su estilo personal ¡quedé totalmente encantada! Ella tiene exactamente lo que a Juana le gusta; una gran personalidad, un estilo propio bien definido y mucha belleza interior que irradia de modo espectacular. ¿Qué te inspira?
Te podría decir muchas cosas, pero el folklore y la energía de Doña Doris Balanta mi madre me inspira. No es una inspiración momentánea es algo que se ha ido construyendo desde que tengo uso de razón. Y por todo lo que ella representa para mi, el blog se llama Miss Balanta.
¿La moda es?
Es algo que puedes coger con tus manos y apropiarte de ella, hacerla tuya sin importar lo que te quieran vender. La moda está en todos lados, es versátil y aunque la repetición es un elemento característico los creativos de la industria se las ingenian para transformar tendencias y convertirlas en moda.

¿Dime 3 piezas que toda mujer debería tener?
Cualquier tipo de tela grande para que se pueda hacer un turbante. Combinan con casi todo, además de ser prácticos cuando no sabes que hacerte en el pelo.
Una falda de talle alto, este tipo de faldas le quedan bien a todo tipo de cuerpo, teniendo en cuenta el corte de la falda.

¿Quién es el mejor diseñador para ti hoy en día?
Para mi Alexander McQueen aunque no esté inmortalizo su legado. Y su sucesora Sarah Burton ha logrado interpretar su ingeniosa forma de ver la moda.

Nunca me cansaré de decirlo, Es más importante construir tu propio estilo que seguir las últimas tendencias. Cosas que tiene que tener en cuenta:
Acepta tu cuerpo: Para que te pongas ropa correcta
Nunca te olvides de quien eres: Esto te dará más seguridad cuando quieras experimentar con nuevas prendas.
Lo más importante: Acepta tu presupuesto y aprende a comprar de forma inteligente.
¿Y para terminar tu estilo de vida ideal sería?La verdad me encanta mi estilo de vida. Y la estoy viviendo, alguna vez soñé vivir cerca al mar y ahora no solo vivo cerca al mar, sino que cuando me levanto de mi cama lo veo y es lo máximo. Me encanta estar explorando nuevos sitios para vivir, trabajando en lo que me gusta, tengo una relación estable y maravillosa. Así que, ¿qué más le puedo pedir a la vida?
