Beautiful one of a kind jewels from Nathalie Regnier- Hermosas joyas con estilo creadas por Nathalie Regnier

ENG. Women's love for jewelry is even more deep and connected than the love for shoes or clothes... This, for two main reasons: 1^st. jewelry definitely lasts forever; 2^nd it manages to represent our style in a very intimate way. So this is the reason why Juana wanted to dedicate a post to the Regnier Jewelry, beautiful one of a kind jewels from Nathalie Regnier. Not only because I think she has great talent but moreover because of the concept behind and the style which is a combination of sophistication and easiness, is very much what Juana loves. And if I have to tell you the truth I can't wait to get my hands on each one of her pieces!

So who is Nathalie? She is an artist and a very natural and beautiful woman who has created a line of jewelry with a very unique concept and designs perfect for all of Juana's lovers! For my pleasure she is also an alumni of my precious school, Colegio Bolivar from Cali. She creates handmade pieces combining materials such as diamonds, gold, crystals and Colombian emeralds with natural ethnic fibers and feathers. She developed her concept through various trips she was able to do to the Amazon due to her husband, who actually has the wonderful and cool job of saving big cats by working with the Panthera organization. Through these trips she got in contact with the indigenous peoples of the Amazon and Choco who now are the ones that provide the natural ethnic fibers and feathers to her. She works very closely with the indigenous groups because for her it is very important to help out their community as well as to make sure that none of these feathers or ethnic materials come from animals killed for the sole purpose of creating the jewels. The materials of these jewelries are unique not only due to the precious stones but also due to the ethnic materials that come from virgin tropical rainforests.

For me this is the true idea of modern luxury; going back to the basics of nature, seeking uniqueness and craftsmanship, as well as having an ecological and a social concept behind with a high level of design and personal style. I for sure, can see Nathalie through her jewelry and what truly amazes me is her capacity to translate her passion into these pieces of art and it just makes me want more…

ESP. En mi opinión el amor de una mujer por la joyería es aún más profundo que el mismo amor por sus zapatos o su ropa… Esto es debido a dos razones principales: 1. Las joyas duran para “siempre” 2. Las joyas tienen la posibilidad de representar nuestro estilo en una manera más íntima que la ropa o accesorios. Por esta razón Juana quiere dedicar un artículo a las joyas Regnier, hermosas y especiales joyas creadas por Nathalie Regnier. No sólo escogí hablar de ella y sus joyas por su gran talento, sino por el concepto detrás de sus joyas y su estilo, que en mi opinión es la combinación perfecta entre algo sofisticado pero al mismo tiempo muy suelto y natural que es algo que a Juana le encanta. Y si les tengo que decir la verdad no veo la hora de tener en mis manos una de sus piezas.

Entonces ¿quien es Nathalie? Ella es una artista y una mujer hermosa y natural que ha creado una línea de joyería con diseños y conceptos únicos, perfectos para todos los que me siguen. Para mi felicidad ella también es egresada de mi precioso colegio, el colegio Bolívar de Cali. Sus creaciones son hechas a mano y combina materiales como diamantes, oro, cristales y esmeraldas colombianas con fibras naturales y plumas. Nathalie desarrolló su concepto gracias a varios viajes que hizo con su esposo al Amazonas, quien tiene el fantástico trabajo de salvar grandes felinos con la organización Panthera. A través de estos viajes ella tuvo la oportunidad de ponerse en contacto con los indígenas del Amazonas y Chocó, los cuales ahora le proveen el werregue y las plumas. Ella trabaja muy de cerca con los indígenas ya que el objetivo es ayudar a sus comunidades y que estas plumas no vengan de pájaros que maten sólo con el fin de crear las joyas.   Los materiales de estas joyas son únicos no sólo por sus preciosas piedras sino también por sus fibras étnicas que vienen de selvas vírgenes.

Para mí esta es la idea del verdadero lujo moderno: el volver al contacto básico con la naturaleza, el buscar lo original y artesanal, y que todo sea bajo un concepto social y ecológico con un alto nivel de diseño y estilo personal.  De seguro yo puedo ver el alma de Nathalie a través de sus joyas y me emociona su capacidad de trasladar su pasión a cada pieza de arte que crea y por supuesto, te deja queriendo más…
