The more particular and unique the personality, the more explosive and interesting the style, not only in the clothes people wear but also in the way they live life. Mmm maybe a Mega-Rock-Star… Well, I am actually a Rockstar hahaha (in my mind off course). I think every woman should see/treat herself like they are the biggest Rock-Star ever. You need to be your MAJOR fan! It’s sad to see how some women have a lack of self-esteem… you just need to trust/love the way you are so you can BE whatever you want to BE...

How would you define your personal style?
Just like that: extremely ‘’personal’’ and eclectic. Sometimes I’m a sexy Marilyn, sometimes I’m a classy Audrey, and sometimes I just go Gaga… but I am always faithful to my soul. I dress for me, myself and I. I definitely think that fashion is just an amazing connection with your soul, there’s nothing between the way you dress and the way you are. Dressing is just one of the closest and deepest personal connections we have with ourselves.
What inspires you?
People. I see myself as a good observer, I like to catch people’s feelings and styles in almost every place/city I go… and there’s nothing like street style to get real fashion inspiration and make it yours. Music of course inspires me too; art, TV shows, and movies as well. My mom inspires me a lot; even my lovely grandma still inspires me. A great song can define my outfit’s mood sometimes, the weather, travelling… Don’t you think that you can actually get inspiration from almost everything on Earth and beyond? :)
Fashion is…?
My DOGMA. I’d like to quote Coco Chanel for this one: ‘’Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only, Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.’’ The way we dress is an amazing expression of art, social and cultural backgrounds, universal feelings… I mean fashion is the coolest expression of art and we also need it! Just see it like this… after eating and sleeping, what’s the next thing we all gotta do? GET DRESSED.
5 pieces in your closet you can’t live without?
Well lately…My chain bag, black pumps, my black blazer, striped skirt, and of course sequins!
3 pieces no woman should live without?
A white shirt for self-esteem, a black blazer for strength, and a great pair of sexy-heels.
Who is the best designer out there today?
WOW this is a tough one! I truly believe that there’s no reason to pick one great designer today with all this crazy wave of new talent on runways around the world. Every designer has something unique to offer to this fashion world that we love so much. BUT… if you want me to give you a name I’m a Stella McCartney’s big fan.
If you could spend the day with a fashion icon dead or alive who would it be?
Aww this one makes me nostalgic, I definitely would like to spend a great day with my grandmother Ana Josefa (AKA Pepa 1915-1989), who was a well known dressmaker in her town around from the ‘30s to the ‘50s. She really was my first Fashion Icon and I just got to know her the first 5 years of my life. I still remember how captivated I was by her warm soul, how avant-garde she was and her great sense of style. She was a very unique woman, for real… So if I could spend the day with a fashion icon it would be her. I would show her how strong her influence has been on me, and how she is by my side in every single step I take in the fashion world either as a Blogger, Journalist, Reporter or Trends & Fashion Consultant.

Stay brave & confident that’s the first shirt you have to put on… after that one, just dress to Kill Bill…

ESP. Yo creo que tu estilo es la firma de tu alma. Tu estilo lo define tu personalidad y lo que eres por dentro. Entre más particular y única tu personalidad, tu estilo es más explosivo e interesante y eso se ve no sólo en cómo te vistes sino en tu vida en general. Por eso mismo decidí crear una serie de Estilo Personal. En esta serie entrevistaré a algunas personas que en mi opinión tienen un estilo único, no sólo por cómo se visten si no por su manera de vivir la vida. ¿Qué te gustaría ser cuando seas grandes?
Mmmm, a lo mejor una Mega Estrella de Rock… La verdad es que ya lo soy (en mi mente obviamente). ¡Yo creo que todas las mujeres nos deberíamos de tratar como trataríamos a nuestra estrella de rock favorita! ¡Tú tienes que ser tu fan numero UNO! Es triste ver como algunas mujeres tienen poca autoestima, por eso sólo hay que confiar y amarse a uno mismo porque es el único modo que podemos convertirnos en las personas que queremos ser.

¿Como definirías tu estilo personal?
Así como dices tú, ¡extremamente “personal“ y ecléctico! Algunas veces soy sexy como Marilyn, algunas veces soy clásica como Audrey y algunas veces soy GAGA… pero siempre soy sincera con mi alma y me visto para mí misma. Yo creo que la moda tiene una conexión maravillosa con tu alma, no hay nada entre tú y el modo como te vistes, es una de las conexiones personales más profundas y cercanas que puedas tener: el vestir.
¿Qué te inspira?
La gente. Yo soy una buena observadora y me gusta captar los sentimientos de las personas y sus estilos en cada sitio y ciudad que voy… y no hay nada como el estilo de la calle para inspirarte y hacerlo tuyo. Por supuesto, también la música me inspira, el arte, los programas de la televisión o una película. Mi mamá me inspira muchísimo y también mi preciosa abuela. Una gran canción siempre crea la atmósfera de mis atuendos, el clima, el viajar… En fin, ¿no crees que uno puedes inspirarse de casi todo lo que existe en la tierra y mas allá?
¿La moda es…?
Mi DOGMA. Como decia Coco Chanel “La moda no es algo que existe solamente en los vestidos, la moda está en los cielos, en las calle, la moda tiene que ver con las ideas, el modo en que vivimos, con lo que sucede diariamente”. El modo en que nos vestimos es una maravillosa expresión de arte, orígenes socio culturales y sentimientos globales. Lo que quiero decir es que la moda es la expresión mas chévere que tiene el arte y la verdad es algo que necesitamos… Mírenlo así: después de comer y dormir ¿cuál es la primera cosa que hacemos? ¡Vestirnos!

Esta pregunta sí está difícil, yo soy de las que creo que uno no debería escoger un solo diseñador ya que hay mucho talento en todo el mundo. Todo diseñador tiene algo único para ofrecer en este mundo de la moda que amamos tanto. Pero si tengo que dar un nombre diría que soy una fan total de Stella McCartney.
¿Si pudieras pasar un día con un ícono de la moda, vivo o muerto, con quién lo pasarías?
Aww esta pregunta me da nostalgia, definitivamente sería mi abuela Ana Josefa (AKA PEPA 1915-1989), quien era una aclamada sastre en su pueblo entre los años 30 y 50. Ella fue mi primer ícono de la moda. Yo sólo pasé los primeros 5 años de mi vida con ella y todavía me acuerdo lo cautivada que estaba por su tierna alma, lo moderna que era y su maravilloso estilo del vestir. Ella fue una mujer única de verdad, entonces sería fantástico para mí poder conocerla mejor y poder mostrarle como influenció mi vida, especialmente en todo lo que hago como blogger, periodista y consultora de moda.
